Mrs. B

Welcome to the “about me” page. I feel it’s important to get to know each other, since we do spend 5 hours a week together for 180 days out of the year!

Mrs. B Fun Facts

My family – I have been married for almost 17 years now to my best friend. We have an awesome thirteen-year-old son!

My likes (in no particular order) – running, animals, country music, chocolate-covered pretzels from Harry and David, chapstick, crossword puzzles, sleeping in on weekends, skiing and sledding, reading, computers (most of the time), iced tea, traveling, the movie Top Gun, nature, coffee, getting a haircut, and of course teaching! There’s more, but that gives a little for now.

My dislikes (again – no particular order) – skunks, ants, getting up at 4 am, wildfires, elevators, dangerous drivers, fish, parents who let their kids run wild in public, theft, politicians, reality shows, getting sick, daylight savings time, violent video games, dirty socks, dog poop on my running trail, people on their cell phones in the grocery store line, and anyone who dares to tell me I can’t do something.

Basics – I live in Crestline (in the mountains). I love where I live! I have some cats and dogs at home (raccoons, skunks, coyotes, and bears too). I have been teaching at Hesperia High since the 07-08 school year. I love where I teach! I have a Master’s from CSUSB in Instructional Technology. And I recently became a Google Certified Educator Level 2.  I talk fast, so give me the “slow down” sign if necessary. Give me respect and you’ll get it back. Patience is not my virtue, but I’m working on it. I believe in this proverb – “One who learns from one who is learning drinks from a running stream.” We can ALL continue learning, so no, I don’t think I know everything, therefore I won’t act like it. I expect you won’t either. I also believe that life should be fun. So let’s have some! 🙂
