I can’t profess my love for Google Drive enough. We should just run away together already. My life has been changed since the day we met.
Although I had incorporated Google docs into so many aspects of my life, up until this year I was still using a physical lesson planner book. Yep. Even though I’d lost it in the past. Not a good feeling. Even though I’d forgotten it at home several times. Again, not a good feeling. I’m not really sure why I kept making these physical books. I think I was just a creature of habit. It was about the only area of my life that I hadn’t given up to the cloud. But this year…I went rogue…and put it all online. It’s efficient! It’s convenient! It’s a no-brainer! I mean, you can’t link to other documents in a physical planner, can you? You can’t “pull it up” on another device if you left it at home, can you?
So, I set myself up with my Google planner. I insert links to docs, presentations, websites, and videos I am going to use in my lessons. I pin the tab so it stays in place. Voila! It’s all right there when I need it. And I can pull it up on my phone or ipad anywhere I am.
Here’s an example:
And, I have a handy-dandy Table of Contents:
And I like the fact that it’s all here for me next year. I can make a copy and then make changes to the new one. Or I can just use this one as a reference and do some copying and pasting. Easy peasy!
